First edition. 316pp with 4pp publisher’s advertisements at rear. Original publisher’s blue cloth, lettered in black to upper cover and spine; no dust jacket. Cloth lightly marked, with discolouration to upper corner of front board; minor wear to spine ends; small previous bookseller’s label to front pastedown. Text block toned with light spotting to edges; internally clean and sound. A very good copy.
 
A later Saint novel featuring Simon Templar, published in 1937. By this date the series was firmly established as one of the most successful strands of British crime fiction. A TV series starring Roger Moore as the title character followed.
