A near fine copy with only the slightest signs of handling. Issued unsigned. With two illustrations by Althea Willoughby. Number 28 in the Ariel Poems series.

 

Published posthumously the year after Lawrence's death, The Triumph of the Machine presents his poetry on industrial civilisation and the growing dominance of mechanisation over the natural world. 

This limited edition forms part of the celebrated Ariel Poems series issued by Faber & Faber, each volume pairing a distinguished modern poet with a contemporary artist.
