Original black-and-white photographic portrait card, 135 x 85 mm, showing Marlene Dietrich in evening dress and jewels, printed at lower right "Marlene Dietrich appearing at the Cafe de Paris, London, W.1." Boldly signed across the image in blue ink. Number "8" in ink to the upper left of the verso, with faint pencil marks and light signs of handling. Very good.

An attractive signed publicity photograph produced for Dietrich's engagement at London's Café de Paris. She opened there in June 1954, following the success of her Las Vegas nightclub appearances. Her opening night at the Café de Paris was recorded and subsequently issued as 'Marlene Dietrich at the Café de Paris'.
