Jumbo-Record, cat. no. A153, manufactured in England, c1912. Double-sided 78 rpm shellac disc, housed in the original plain paper sleeve (overall 270 × 260 mm). A couple of scratches and a small tear to the sleeve otherwise very good.
Performed by The Three Rascals, with pianoforte accompaniment by one of the performers. Side A, Ragtime Suffragette, is satirical. Side B, Band, Band, Band (by Brown and Ayre), is a conventional comic music-hall song.
An uncommon survival of a commercially issued gramophone record involving a Suffragettes themed song, most likely anti-suffrage in tone.
