Limited large-paper edition, one of 500 copies printed on English handmade paper, this being number 241, signed by Edith Sitwell on the limitation page. Tall octavo, original salmon-pink paper-covered boards, lettered in gilt to the upper cover. Illustrated throughout with Edward Bawden's two striking line drawings, one in colour and one in black-and-white illustrations. Condition: very good. A small bump to the fore-edge of the front board with a little light handling wear and fading to spine, otherwise a bright, clean and well-preserved copy.
Number 15 in the Ariel Poems series, Popular Song represents an early collaboration between Edith Sitwell and Edward Bawden, combining Sitwell's poetry with Bawden's distinctive illustrations in one of the most attractive titles issued in the celebrated series.
