Number 10 in Faber's Ariel Poems series. The poem is accompanied by striking illustrations by Sir William Nicholson, among the most distinguished British graphic artists and illustrators of the period. Best remembered for The Autobiography of a Super-Tramp and poems including Leisure, Davies was one of the most widely read poets of the early twentieth century.
