First edition. 160 x 200 mm. 125 pp. Original printed paper wrappers. Copy number 7 of only 25 copies printed on Japan paper, from a total edition of 750 copies, the remaining 725 copies being printed on velin de Rives.
 
A very good copy. Some rubbing and wear to the spine and extremities, with light creasing and small areas of wear at the spine ends. Internally very good. Printed on Japon paper, with the leaves deliberately left in markedly irregular sizes, some substantially narrower or shorter than others, producing a striking format.
 
Dartmoor derives from Rodker's experiences being imprisoned there as a conscientious objector during the First World War. The French translation by Ludmila Savitzky was published in 1926, before Rodker later incorporated the material into Memoirs of Other Fronts. The volume includes a reproduction of a page from Rodker's manuscript. A notably scarce deluxe issue, one of only 25 copies on Japon paper.
