Limited signed large-paper edition, 140 x 220 mm. Original publisher's cream paper-covered boards lettered in gilt to the upper cover. 14 pages (excluding the front and rear blank leaves), printed on English hand-made paper and illustrated throughout by Paul Nash. One of 400 numbered copies signed by George William Russell ("A.E.") on the limitation page, this being number 215. Very good or better, the boards lightly marked as usual with a little scattered foxing, internally clean and bright.
 
Number 19 in Faber's Ariel Poems series, pairing one of the finest mystical poems by the Irish writer, painter and theosophist George William Russell with some of Paul Nash's most striking early graphic designs.  One of the more difficult of the Ariel signed limited editions to find.
