[BROADSIDE] Doctor’s Boy. [With:] The Old House at Home.
Bristol: Taylor, Printer, 39 Temple Street, [c.1845].
Broadside song sheet (260 × 180 mm), printed on pink-tinted wove paper in two columns, verso blank; several old folds, short marginal tears and light surface marks, small loss to lower corner, but good.
A Bristol broadside pairing a comic lament, Doctor’s Boy, with a parlour verse, The Old House at Home.
Printed by Taylor of Temple Street, one of Bristol’s ballad / songster printers, whose output circulated widely across the West of England and South Wales. Provincial broadsides of this type, particularly those printed on coloured waste or tinted stock, are scarce survivals.
