1 sheet, 150 x 210 mm, on lined paper, written on one side. Old horizontal and vertical folds. Small section cut away from lower left corner (not affecting text). Otherwise clean and legible in a bold hand. About very good. 
 
Machen writes acknowledging receipt of a cheque for £4-10-0 and confirming that he will inscribe copies of his recently published work The Secret Glory (1922). He notes that the recipient may arrange for a messenger to collect the books once completed. A good association to one of Machen’s later mystical novels, written at around publication.
