1 sheet (115 x 118 mm), written on one side in black ink. Folded as posted. Two closed tears, each c. 25–30 mm, repaired to the reverse with archival tape; light creasing from folding; a little handling wear. About good only.
A short social letter “Thank you very much indeed for the exceedingly kind hospitality which I enjoyed immensely last night… the pleasure which it must give to all your guests must be more than adequate compensation.” Holtby closes with kind regards and her signature.
A brief but early letter from Holtby, with any correspondence in her hand uncommon to find.
