TEMPLE, Henry John, 3rd Viscount Palmerston (1784-1865). Autograph note in the third person, 8 February 1832.
Single sheet, 120 x 180 mm, written in ink on the first and second sides, folded. Light handling, toning and a few small ink marks, otherwise very good.
A short autograph note in the third person from Lord Palmerston, then Foreign Secretary and later twice Prime Minister. Palmerston sends a draft for fifty pounds on account, requests a receipt, and asks that a daily newspaper previously sent to Cambridge on his account has not continued since he ceased to represent the University. Dated from Stanhope Street, 8 February 1832.
Palmerston had represented Cambridge University in Parliament from 1811 until 1831. The recipient a newspaper or periodical supplier.
