Single sheet (written on both sides), 110 × 180 mm. One folded sheet, light toning and creases at folds and edges, a few faint handling marks, trimmed to one side, otherwise very good.
A letter granting permission for the republication of Ainsworth’s articles. Ainsworth writes that he is “quite at liberty to re-publish your articles, and I shall be very glad to see them again in print”. The recipient is John Henry Blunt (1823–1884), the Anglican divine, church historian, and editor, then closely associated with Canterbury and the Cathedral circle.
