An anti-suffrage US circular by a Massachusetts lobby group dated 1911

A decidedly anti-suffrage circular issued by the Massachusetts Association Opposed to the Further Extension of Suffrage to Women during the final decade of the American women's suffrage campaign. Addressed "To Members of the Legislature", the circular urges Massachusetts legislators to reject proposed suffrage measures, arguing that the organisation represented more than 15,000 women of voting age who opposed the extension of the franchise. It maintains that the advocates of women's suffrage spoke for only a small minority of their sex and offers to supply legislators with further arguments against the movement upon request. 
 
A well-preserved piece of American political ephemera illustrating the organised opposition to women's suffrage prior to the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment that was certified as law in 1920, that prohibited denying the right to vote to any citizen on the basis of sex.
