£250.00Price
BERNARD MUNNS (1869-1942). Original pen and ink drawing of two marabou storks, signed by the artist and dated 25 May 1907. 230 x 270 mm. A finely worked and characterful study on textured paper, with only light age-related marks.
John Bernard Munns was a Birmingham-born painter and illustrator who studied at Birmingham School of Art and exhibited extensively with the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, becoming a full member in 1923. An attractive early example of his draughtsmanship, predating the portrait and figurative paintings for which he later became known.
