Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne 1st / 1st 1926

First edition published by Methuen in 1926. This is a near fine copy. The dark green boards are bright and clean as is the gilt decorations and lettering on the spine. There is a small scuff mark to the bottom edge of the front board. There is also light wear to the spine ends. The end papers - a map of 100 aker wood is a shade browned. Otherwise all the pages are very clean, with no previous owner's names or other marks. Overall a lovely near fine copy. 
 
A near fine first print copy of this children's classic. The second in the winnie the pooh series, after 'When We Were Very Young', illustrated throughout by Ernest Shepard.
