First edition published by Covent Garden Press. A limited edition print run of 600 copies of which 100 are igned and numbered by the author. This copy is number 10 and is one of the signed and numbered copies. It is in very good condition. The wrappers has a small tear to the back panel and some minor edgewear. The boards of the book has some fading. There is a previous owner's blind stamp on the front free end paper on the same page as where the author has signed. 
 
A rare title to find signed, it is Colin Wilson's analysis of J.R.R Tolkien and his novels. He discusses The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. An early piece of literary criticism about Tolkien.
