First edition. 8vo., original red textured cloth boards, decorated with gilt lettering to the spine and a hooded gunman motif, with the original dust jacket; pp. [iv] 5-255 [i]; A very good or better copy. The jacket hasn't been price clipped displaying the correct price of 18s. net. There is light edgewear and foxing marks along the top of the reverse of the jacket. There is a smattering of foxing marks to the upper and side text blocks along with some light foxing marks to the upper edge of the front free end paper and a small circular stain to the edge of the same page.
A Hercule Poirot story. An aging Poirot looks to solve a mystery involving a young woman who appears at his flat claiming to be a murderer. An excellent copy. [Wagstaff & Poole p216]
