The Tyler Mystery by Paul Temple (Francis Durbridge) 1st / 1st 1957

First UK edition published by Hodder & Stoughton in 1957. This copy is in very good + condition. The wrapper has some rubbing to the spine ends and corner tips as well as along the join of the spine edges. There is very little loss at all to the jacket and the back panel is clean with only very light marks. It is not price clipped retaining the 12s 6d net price. The book is in lovely condition with no foxing or browning. The text block is clear from marks and there is no previous owner's ink. Overall a very good + copy.

'The Tyler Mystery' is one of two novels written by the double act Francis Durbridge and Douglas Rutherford using the name 'Paul Temple' as a pseudonym. 'Paul Temple' is also the main protagonist of this novel. They would go on to write 'East of Algiers' together as well, with Durbridge continuing to pen Temple mysteries separately and also for the radio.  This crime detection novel sees Temple investigating the death of a young woman who is found lying huddled in the luggage compartment of an abandoned Jaguar...
