First edition and first print published by Dent in 1962. This copy is in very good ++ condition. The wrapper has some minor wear to the top and bottom of the spine and to the corner tips. It is not price clipped. The book has some minor wear to the boards and very occasional and minor foxing. Overall it is in very good ++ condition. 


A sailor wandering in London during a World War II air-raid finds a newborn baby in the debris. He takes refuge with the child in an empty church, where it amazes him by levitating and speaking. A dialogue follows between the child, fresh from eternity, and the man mired in the temporal world.
