The Mildenhall Treasure by Roald Dahl signed and doodled Ralph Steadman 1st 1999
First UK edition and first print published by Cape in 1999. This is a near fine copy. There is minor rubbing to the top of the spine of the wrapper otherwise there are no tears or chips and the wrapper is not price clipped. The book is also in nice condition with a minuscule chip to the bottom corner tip. There is no ink except for the fantastic large doodle and trademark flourishing signature from Ralph Steadman to the half title page, along with the date he signed the book. Overall a near fine copy and rare with the illustrator Steadman's signature and doodle.
This is a non-fiction work written by Roald Dahl. It tells the story of the discovery in 1942 near Mildenhall in Suffolk of the Mildenhall Treasure, now held in the British Museum.
