The Job - Interview with (and signed) William Burroughs by Daniel Odier 1st 1970

First UK edition and first print published by cape in 1970. This copy is in near fine condition. The wrapper has some very minor wear to the top of the spine. It is not price clipped. The book itself is in very nice condition with no previous owners marks. The title page has been inscribed by author William Burroughs.

Daniel Odier built around an extensive series of interviews with Beat Generation author William S. Burroughs conducted in the late 1960s. Originally published in France in 1969, it was first published in the UK in 1970.

As Burroughs explains in a foreword, what began as a series of impromptu interviews covering topics ranging from Scientology to Burroughs' longtime drug addiction led to a work that contains flashbacks and cinematic-style "fade outs". Some of Burroughs' replies to Odier's questions are presented in near novella-length form. A rare book and especially so signed by William Burroughs.
