First UK edition published by Methuen in 1955. This is a near fine copy. The fantastic Michael Ayrton dust wrapper is in excellent condition with no loss and very little wear. It is not price clipped displaying 30s. net as called for. The book has some sporadic foxing marks to the upper text block, otherwise is very presentable. The pages are clean without foxing or browning marks. Overall a near fine copy. The follow up to Lewis's theological science fiction novel Childermass.
