Oxford: Basil Blackwell, (1954). First edition. This is a near fine copy. With the original 'Recommended by the Book Society' band, which itself is with only light wear. The dust wrapper is bright and generally clean throughout and with slight tears at the top edge. It has not been price clipped, but the original price has been crossed out in a blue ink. The boards lean slightly but are without notable chips and marks. The text blocks are slightly toned and very slightly foxed. There is a small, grey-coloured scuff to the bottom right-hand corner of the text block. There is a small, neat previous owner's inscription on the front flyleaf in blue ink.
