The Constant Gardener Signed by John Le Carre 1st / 1st 2001

First edition and first print published by Hodder & Stoughton in 2001. This is a near fine copy. The wrapper is very complete with no tears or chips. It has retained its colour to the panels and spine. There is some very minor wear to the top edge. It is not price clipped. The book is very presentable with clean pages and no previous owners marks. The author has signed to the title page without dedication. Overall a near fine copy.

The Constant Gardener tells the story of Justin Quayle, a British diplomat whose activist wife is murdered. Believing there is something behind the murder, he seeks to uncover the truth and finds an international conspiracy of corrupt bureaucracy and pharmaceutical money.

The plot was based on a real-life case in Kano, Nigeria. The book was later adapted into a feature film in 2005.
