The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith Signed by Thomas Keneally 1st / 1st 1972

The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith Signed by Thomas Keneally 1st / 1st 1972

£275.00Price

True first edition and first print published by Angus and Robertson in 1972.  It is in very good +++ condition. The wrapper is very complete with no chips or tears. There is minor rubbing to the spine ends and corner tips. It is not price clipped. There is a previous owner's name to the front free end paper. The boards have a small amount of handling wear. The pages have no foxing or marks. Overall a very good +++ copy and it is signed by the author without dedication.

The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith is a 1972 Booker Prize-nominated novel, and a 1978 Australian film of the same name directed by Fred Schepisi. The novel is based on the life of bushranger Jimmy Governor. A rare title signed.
