The Brass Butterfly by William Golding 1st / 1st 1958

First edition and first print published by Faber in 1958. This is an exceptionally fine copy. The wrapper is without wear and is not price clipped. There is a shade of sunning to the spine mentioned for completeness. The wrapper is very clean with no marks at all. The book is as new and looks unread. There is no wear to the boards and no foxing or spotting marks at all. It is a highly collectible fine copy. 
 
William Golding's only original stage play - set in ancient Capri - it opened for a provincial pre-West End run in Oxford in early 1958 and premiered at the Strand Theatre in London. A rare copy in such fine condition.
