Souvenir Brochure presented to competitors Signed London Olympics 1948
First and only edition - a scarce Souvienir Brochure produced by the High Wycombe and District Municipal Offices in 1948. This brochure was handed to competitors and officials that participated in the Rowing and Canoeing events. This copy has been signed by the mayor in 1949 and given to a J Birch with compliments. This brochure is in near fine conditiion. With a few light marks to the card covers. All of the pages are clean with no previous owners ink. The pages are free from foxing. The brochure has its original cord ties. On the front cover is an embossed Wycombe emblem with the latin phrase 'Industria Ditat' or industry enriches. Also on the front cover are the olympic rings. Inside the brochure are many pictures of High Wycombe and Buckinghamshire in general. At the back is a map of The River Thames.
A scarce item of olympic memorabilia from the London games in 1948. This brochure would have been printed in very small numbers and presented to competitors and officials only from the nations engaged in olympic competition on the Thames.
