Sharpe's Sword signed by Bernard Cornwell 1st / 1st 1983

£750.00Price

First edition and first print published by Collins in 1983. This is a near fine copy. The wrapper is immaculate with very little if any wear. It hasn't been price clipped displaying the correct price of £8.50. The jacket colour is even with no fade. The book is in nice condition with very minor wear to the corners. There is a small stain to the bottom of the front free end paper. There is no foxing and no previous owners ink. Overall a very collectable near fine copy.

The rarest sharpe title, reputed to only have a first print run of 500 in hardback, this comes with the additional rarity of the author's signature without dedication on the title page.

Set in Wellington's Salamanca Campaign of 1811-12 during the Peninsular War this novel pits Colonel Leroux against Richard Sharpe. The fourth sharpe title.
