First edition and first print published by Collins in 1981. This is a near fine copy. The wrapper has very little if any wear at all. It is not price clipped displaying the correct price of £6.95 net. The panels and spine have retained all of its colour. There is around 3 or 4 light foxing marks to the back inside flap. The book is very presentable with no foxing to the pages or the text block. There are no previous owner's names or marks inside either. Overall a very presentable near fine copy. The author has signed without dedication to the title page.
Sharpe's Gold is the second (though ninth in chronological order) historical novel in the Richard Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwell first published in 1981. The story is set in August 1810 and features the destruction of Almeida during the Peninsular War.
