Seven Pillars of Wisdom by T.E. Lawrence 1st / 1st 1936

First trade edition published by Jonathan Cape in 1936. This first trade follows a scarce privately printed edition in 1926 of only 100 copies and a limited edition with colour plates also published by Cape in 1936). This copy is rare as it is in about fine condition and is in superb condition. The original brown dust wrapper is in wonderful condition and is unclipped displaying the correct price of 30s. net. The book bound in brown cloth covered hard boards has gilt lettering to the spine and a decoration to the front board. It is in excellent condition. A memorial leaflet is tucked in. 
 
Seven pillars is Lawrence's autobiographical account of his time during the first world war fighting against the Ottoman Turks in Arabia. Rare in this fine condition.
