Red Wind by Raymond Chandler, 1st/1st, 1946
This is a near fine copy of Raymond Chandler's 'Red Wind' in first edition, first printing. Cleveland, 1946. The textblocks in very good condition, with discolouration but no foxing to any of the textblocks and a few small scratch marks on the top and bottom text blocks. The dust jacket shows some shelf wear with a coupe of small tear on the top and bottom of the cover and a small tear in the middle of the front cover near the spine however has little to no discolouration and is in very good condition. This book has been price clipped. The boards are free from marks and has a small chip in the bottom right corner of the book. Overall this is a near fine copy.
‘Red Wind’ is a crime/detective short story by Raymond Chandler. The story adds to his collection of detective short stories, novels and screenplays. The story like many of his other story falls under the hard-boiled fiction category. Red wind has a great story line, a lot of imagery, and motifs. With his use of imagery he allows his readers to experience a Film Noir sensation.
