Silver gelatin photographic print, 150 x 110 mm, mounted on stiff card. Mild corner wear and creasing to mount, with a more noticeable crease at the lower right corner affecting the image area; remnants of former mounting to verso. Good overall.
 
An early portrait of the suffragette leader Christabel Pankhurst, shown seated outdoors holding flowers beneath an elaborate Edwardian hat. One of the central strategists and public faces of the Women's Social and Political Union, Pankhurst played a leading role in the militant phase of the British suffrage movement before later moving to France and subsequently the United States.
