First edition and first print of the novel about Peter Pan and his adventures on the island of Neverland, inhabited by mermaids, fairies, Indians and pirates. The story introduced well known characters such as Tinkerbell and Captain Hook. Peter Pan would be a fixture in Barrie’s writing from his introduction in a short story in 1902, a play in 1904, extracts in a book called ‘Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens’ and then this, the first full length novel that is often now published simply as ‘Peter Pan’. This copy is in particularly nice condition and as such rare.
