£100.00Price

London: Collins, 1979

8vo., orange publisher’s boards, backstrip lettered in silver; in the dust jacket with laid-on price sticker (£2.95), designed by Peggy Fortnum; pp. [vi], 7-125, [i] illustrated throughout with line drawings by Fortnum; a tight and square copy, with pushing to spine tips, and a couple of light red marks to p. 11; dust jacket toned, but else very good, minor creases to edges and folds; the lower panel with a very small chip to upper layer of acetate.

First edition. The eleventh and final book in the Paddington series, which began with ‘A Bear Called Paddington’ in 1958. In this story, Paddington gets up to all sorts of mischief; crashing Mr Brown’s car, falling asleep on Queen Elizabeth’s bed, and locking Mr Curry in a sauna.

A very nice example.
