Our Man in Havana by Graham Greene first edition 1958
London: Heinemann (1958). First edition. 8vo., blue cloth boards, gilt lettering to the spine, with the original dust jacket; pp. [viii] 3-273 [i]; A very good copy. The Donald Green jacket hasn't been price clipped. There is light edgewear and three small tears to the spine ends and a corner. The bottom of the lower panel is creased. The lower panel has some light browning marks.
The author's pot shot at the intelligence agencies, set in Cuba during the Batista regime and with the cold war as the backdrop. Greene's comedy was made into a film in 1959 starring Alex Guinness as the vacuum salesman turned spy.
