Monty Woodpig's Caravan Signed by BB D.J. Watkins-Pitchford 1st / 1st 1957

First edition published by Edmund Ward Ltd in 1957. This is a very good copy. The fragile wrapper has a tear to the top of the back panel that has been repaired to the reverse. There is edgewear along the top in particular to the spine end. Overall though the jacket is complete and is not price clipped displaying 6s. 6d. net to the inside flap. The book has foxing marks to the text blocks and sporadically to the pages albeit only to the odd page. The illustrator and author 'BB' has signed the front paper without dedication. 
 
A charming children's book by BB about a lonely hedgehog that built himself a caravan, met a doormouse called Millie, got married and then set off on their travels together. A rare book to find signed.
