Memoirs signed association copy by Mikhail Gorbachev 1st / 1st 1995

First edition and first print published by Doubleday in 1995. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper has some very mild rubbing to the top of the spine. It is not price clipped. The book and pages are very clean and without marks or handing wear. Overall a near fine copy.

This copy is signed and inscribed by Mikhail Gorbachev to historian and biographer Sir Alistair Horne. Horne was a journalist, biographer and historian, being the author to over 20 titles. He worked for the Daily Telegraph and was the official biographer for Harold Macmillan. He has won awards for his writing including the hawthornden and Wolfson history prize. Horne covered and reported on politics during the late 80's and has written several articles on Gorbachev and the Soviet Union. A scarce association copy.
