Love Made Easy signed by Quentin Crisp, 1st/1st, 1977
This is a near fine copy of Quentin Crisp's 'Love Made Easy' signed by Quentin Crisp in first edition, Duckworth, first printing. London, 1977. The textblocks in good condition without foxing on the top or bottom of the textblock but light foxing on the top textblock and light discolouration. There is some very light foxing on some of the pages throughout the book. The dust jacket shows some shelf wear especially on the top of the cover where it seems to be discoloured however is in overall very good condition, and has not been price clipped. The boards are free from chips however there are some white marks no the bottom edge of the book. Overall this is a very good copy. This copy has been signed by the author to the title page.
This extravaganza belongs to the late 1940's, to a tatty London recovering the hard way from wartime shortages and blackout morality. The story is loosely pegged to a grand Happiness Exhibition orginised by the Central Institute of the New Golden Age (CINGA). There's a variety of wholly British dropouts, old and young, rich and poor, caught up in this unlikely tales from the author of 'The Naked Civil Servant'. Rare signed.
