First edition and first print published by Jonathan Cape in 1989. The book is in near fine condition. The wrapper has very little if any wear at all and is not price clipped. The pages and boards are very clean. There is no foxing. There is a small neat previous owners name to the front free end paper. The author has signed without dedication to the title page. This book comes with a scarce sample chapter that was given out before the book was published. This sampler has some foxing around the edges. Overall the book is in a very collectable near fine condition, signed and with the scarce sampler.
