Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov 1st / 1st 1959

First UK edition published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in 1959. This is a near fine copy. The jacket has two or three light creases to the front panel and a small scratch to the top left hand corner. The spine ends and corners have small amounts of wear. It has not been price clipped. The book itself is excellent with clean pages and a pink topstain. Overall a near fine copy.
 
Nabokov's masterpiece which caused a scandal on publication and led to the end of the political career of Nigel Nicolson from the publishers. Lolita has become a modern classic and rare in this condition.
