Life of Pi by Yann Martel 1st / 1st 2002

£85.00Price

First edition and first print published by Canongate in 2002. This is a fine copy. The wrapper is immaculate with no wear at all. There are no tears or chips and the edges are not rubbed. it is also not price clipped. The book is also as new and looks unread. A lovely fine copy.

The protagonist of the novel is Piscine Molitor "Pi" Patel, an Indian Tamil boy from Pondicherry who explores issues of spirituality and metaphysics from an early age. He survives 227 days after a shipwreck while stranded on a lifeboat in the Pacific Ocean with a Bengal tiger which raises questions about the nature of reality and how it is perceived and told. Won the Booker Prize in 2002.
