Oblong Folio; original publisher’s illustrated yellow papered boards, with the lettering and illustration in black and white, and the original cloth binding in red; collated as complete with the Perrier advertising page bound in to the front, followed by the title page and 12 chromolithographs; the original pastedowns are then followed by the pages described with no fly leaves as called for; an about very good copy and better than is usually found; the corners are worn through, several small marks to the lower board, a previous owner has pasted a small related article to the reverse of the title page with associated browning patch to the first plate, some sporadic and light marks throughout, but in the whole a clean set of prints.
A better than is usually found first edition copy of Crombie’s amusing cartoons about the great game.
