Kiss Kiss by Roald Dahl 1st / 1st 1960
First edition and first print published by Michael Joseph in 1960. This is a near fine copy. The wrapper is very bright and retains all of its colour. The spine has not been sunned or has any toning at all with the title sparkling in clear white. The top of the spine of the wrapper is rubbed with a 2mm tiny tear. There is a similar small tear to the bottom edge of the wrapper. It hasn't been price clipped displaying the correct price of 15s net. The book is also near fine. The boards and pages in generally nice condition. The first couple of pages have very light and occasional foxing marks. Overall this is a near fine copy.
A collection of short stories. Most of the stories are presented as typical narratives, albeit with imaginative characters. The horror of each story is built around implication, and many horrific endings, involving death or unpleasant situations, can only be inferred, since nothing is directly stated. "The Champion of the World" is a condensed version of the story that would become Dahl's 1975 children's book, Danny the Champion of the World.
