Jimmy Murphy and the White Duesenberg by Raymond Briggs 1st / 1st 1968

London: Hamish Hamilton (1968)

First edition with the rare dust wrapper. This copy is in very good + condition. The fragile wrapper has some minor wear along edges and corners. Some minor fading to the top left of the front panel and a dirt patch to the bottom right. A small tear to the bottom edge of the back panel and a couple of abrasions above this. The book itself is in very nice condition with no previous owner’s ink. Overall very good + for this rare title.

One of six titles that celebrated true accounts of great events in human achievement. This one is about racing driver Jimmy Murphy in a battle for Le Mans. This copy was sent to the Irish Times for review and a slip is loosely inserted from Hamish Hamilton to the literary editor of the Times.
