Indian Diary 1952-53 by Edward Ardizzone 1st / 1st 1984
A first edition and first print published by The Bodley Head in London 1984. This copy is very good ++. The jacket has minor wear along the edges without any tears. There is fading to the spine on the jacket. It has not been price clipped. The text block does have slight browning but no foxing. The pages are clean and free from previous owners ink. Overall this copy is in very good++ condition.
Edward Jeffrey Irving Ardizzone, CBE RA, who sometimes signed his work "DIZ", was an English painter, print-maker and war artist, and the author and illustrator of books, many of them for children. For Tim All Alone, which he wrote and illustrated, Ardizzone won the inaugural Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association for the year's best children's book illustration by a British subject.
