Improve Your Snooker by Joe Davis 1st / 1st 1936
First edition and first print published by Methuen & Co in 1936. This is a very good +++ copy. The dust wrapper is complete and hasn't been price clipped although it has a repriced sticker attached to the inside flap of 4-. The panels of the wrapper are free from marks and there are no chips or tears. The spine has browned. The book has light foxing to the text block. The pages in general are clean. There are no bookplates and no pen. Overall a very good +++ copy.
Joe Davis was the dominant figure in snooker from the 1920s to the 1950s and has been credited with inventing aspects of the way the game is now played, such as break-building. This is a rare early title from him.
