First UK edition published in 1973. This is a near fine copy. The jacket is immaculate with no wear. It is not price clipped. The book has clean boards albeit toned to the edges. There are indentation marks to the front free end paper where someone has written in pencil too firmly. Otherwise the pages are very clean. Overall a near fine copy. The author's critically acclaimed autobiography of his service in Vietnam. O'Brien was a 25 yr old foot soldier when he first saw service in the conflict. The superb jacket is by Michael Hasted.
