Great Events in Human Achievement Series by Raymond Briggs 6 vols 1st 1969
Six volumes all first editions and first prints published by Hamish Hamilton in 1969. All six retain their original dust wrappers and all six are not library copies as is so often the case with these titles. The condition of four of them are near fine / fine and two of them are very good ++. The titles are First Up Everest (very near fine); Richthofen the Red Baron (near fine); Lindbergh the Lone Flier (very good ++), Jimmy Murphy and the White Duesenberg (very good ++), Nuvolari and the Alfa Romeo (very good ++) and Shackleton's Epic Voyage (near fine). The first title listed 'First Up Everest' is a particularly hard one to locate so to have a copy in such nice condition is a real rarity.
Raymond Briggs: 'The True Account Of Great Events In Human Achievement' series ,are six non fiction titles covering the crowning achievements of some great (and not so great) figures from the 20th Century. Highly collectible and especially so in nice condition.
