G.K's Weekly a weekly periodical by G.K. Chesterton Christmas 1932
CHESTERTON, G.K. (Gilbert Keith). G.K.'s Weekly. Christmas Number. December 10, 1932.
London: G.K.'s Weekly Ltd., 1932.
Original newspaper-format periodical, 220 x 280 mm, pp. 210-238, complete as issued. Spotting to the fore-edge and margins of the front cover, dog-ear to the lower corner, with general handling wear, otherwise about very good.
The Christmas Number of Chesterton's celebrated weekly newspaper, edited throughout by G.K. Chesterton. The front cover carries an original full-page satirical drawing by Chesterton depicting Father Christmas mediating between a Socialist and an Individualist over the distribution of toys. The issue also contains Chesterton's essay "The Three Fingers", together with further contributions by Hilaire Belloc, Powys Evans and others.
An attractive surviving Christmas issue from the influential literary and political weekly with an original Chesterton cover illustration. Individual issues are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.
